Come at me, chilly October mornings and grey skies! These black UGGs and the RAINS curve jacket in rust (no, it’s not red) was delivered today, from Boozt. I am so ready to rock them, as soon as I get rid of my stubborn cold!
My little sister Emma’s 9th birthday is coming up! In fact, my little brother’s 10th as well – at the very same day. However, they do not share the same parents. Anyway, my mother asked me yesterday what we should get Em, and here are some of my suggestions: Thomas Sabo charms, SUNNYLIFE floats, pink Ray-Ban and Under Armour sports clothing. She is a ‘Little Miss Princess’, a character of a kind with the kindest heart, yet with a lot of attitude; she knows what she wants and I love it (she is just like me that way). Besides, she is a busy little girl and my mother and I call her a fashionista. Emma rarely has time for nothing but her friends, and she always dresses in nice apparel. It does not really matter what she is wearing – she is beautiful inside and out and she is one of those people who looks good in everything. I wish I was as photogenic as her! Apart from that, Emma and I have a lot in common (for instance, we are both regular globetrotters), we often like and want the same things and we certainly look up to each other. Of course, she deserves only the best on her birthday – and always (the same goes for all of my siblings)!
When I found this designer/Arne Jacobsen measuring jug at Illums Bolighus several weeks ago, I had to buy it. I did not own anything like this before and it certainly makes measurements a lot easier. Apparently, ordinary glasses serves another purpose. Now, I just need a corkscrew. It turns out that bottles of wine do not open themselves. In the meantime, I will sip champagne; it requires no corkscrew, no measuring nor the right kind of glass – as long as it is consumed everything is in order. Cheers!
I love giving and receiving goody bags/party bags filled with small but useful gifts. It does not have to be expensive, but it does not have to be crappy things either. The last few days I have been collecting some items for myself. However, I did not put them in a fancy bag. Anyway, I am very happy with these products: I got some new Invisibobble hair rings with extra strong grip as well as orange ones, another lip balm/Baby Lips Dr. Resuce, a SuperShine Buffing File from Depend (ideal for those of us who are not allowed to have nail polish at work, it is super easy and it looks really nice), gorgeous hair elastics/scrunchies (with knots) from Becksöndergaard Copenhagen and last but not least, a glass bottle of Norwegian water from VOSS.
Brandy Melville, a store that I have never been to before that I visited in January, in Stockholm. It was a cool store with casual and chic clothing which I am very fond of. They are well worth a visit! I bought two simple, but oh so stylish tops! I love the details such as the stretchy ribbed knit and the ruffled trimmings. What do you think?
New in from MAC. I really like these shimmering eye shadows (colours) because they go with almost anything since they are natural tones that suits my light complexion. Besides, they are great both for everyday use and for special occasions. I just vary the amount of product.
I used to have two favourite pairs of sweatpants from Victoria’s Secret PINK, in blue and grey. I bought both of them at the same time in London a few years ago but now, they have got so worn out that I cannot use them anymore. It has been a sad time. Luckily, I found new pyjama bottoms at Björn Borg in Stockholm a while ago, and last week in Copenhagen, I got hold of these Logo Graphic Joggers from Abercrombie & Fitch. They fit really well and look good, but it is the inside that matters – so cosy! I could live in them for the rest of my life and with NYC on the bum, I cannot be too distressed about my recent loss!
Today, it was impossible not to bring home those comfy pyjamas trousers from Björn Borg, a few socks from Tommy Hilfiger and two pairs of mini shorts, also from Björn Borg. I saw a lot of other garments that looked nice in several shops, but I am extremely picky with the fit, materials and seams. I will tell you more about that later. However, my wallet must be grateful!
Acne, Björn Borg and Calvin Klein are just three out of many stores that I visited today at Stockholm Quality Outlet in Barkarby! I have not been there in a while so it was nice to see the newly built part of the village with lots of new brands/shops. It was really cosy to do evening shopping actually, not too busy and jolly with the Christmas/winter lights. Normally, I am a morning shopper because I hate it when it is too crowded, but since the outlet is a bit out-of-town I suppose weekdays are okay in that way. I will show you what I bought in my next blog post!
Although Christian is not one of my favourite names, there are undoubtedly some great men with the name: Christian Dior, Christian Louboutin and last but not least, Christian Lacroix (just to name a few)! There is a reason why I took French in school – I like Frenchmen and even more, French fashion designers! I got hold of this stunner from Christian Lacroix Papier (obviously) today at Illums Bolighus and it was half-price – a real bargain! This is exactly what I have been looking for, a nice notebook with blank pages so that I can jot down any ideas concerning my fashion start-up, Jubilee Line! Initially, I was looking for a more fashion-inspired book but since I could not find one, this was the second best option with the colourful cover and the edge gilding in silver. I love it!
