Low-key loving

New in from MAC. I really like these shimmering eye shadows (colours) because they go with almost anything since they are natural tones that suits my light complexion. Besides, they are great both for everyday use and for special occasions. I just vary the amount of product.

So Good

I must share this although many of you probably have seen it already. Zara Larsson is just so good! PS, I accidentally wrote Zara Larsen at first. Ha! It actually sounds like Ellen is saying Larsen as well…

50 Shades of Earl Grey

This reinforces my belief that I am secretly British, it is totally my cup of tea! In fact, I had to get Earl Grey the other day to do a London Fog (a tea/latte drink as seen on the picture below). It is easy-peasy to make and not too unhealthy, all you need to do is: brew the tea, add a little vanilla syrup (I went with Alpro Soya Vanilla instead) and finish with some steamed milk. If desired, you can also sprinkle some cinnamon on the top! I have not figured out the ultimate measurements for my taste yet, so I suggest you Google a recipe if you want to try it. The beverage is sweet but not too sweet, and I like it (not least because of the beautiful name). Anyway, I hope you have a good laugh with hilarious Mr (Handsome) Hussey. Cheers!

You’re leaving with me

I used to have two favourite pairs of sweatpants from Victoria’s Secret PINK, in blue and grey. I bought both of them at the same time in London a few years ago but now, they have got so worn out that I cannot use them anymore. It has been a sad time. Luckily, I found new pyjama bottoms at Björn Borg in Stockholm a while ago, and last week in Copenhagen, I got hold of these Logo Graphic Joggers from Abercrombie & Fitch. They fit really well and look good, but it is the inside that matters – so cosy! I could live in them for the rest of my life and with NYC on the bum, I cannot be too distressed about my recent loss!

Be mine

Valentine’s Day in a week now! I do not have a man but that certainly does not stop me from wishing for some sweet gifts. There must be someone that loves me out there? Ha. Pink positive! I would not mind receiving any of the Kusmi Tea metal tins above, Sweet Love, Bouquet de Fleurs or, why not spice it up a little with Anastasia – that one would be perfect for a Grey day! A bunch of flowers is always nice, too. Consider this, consider this, the hint of the century…

La La Land

I knew I wanted to see the movie, but I had no expectations at all. In the beginning I thought it was going to be two painful hours because it seemed a bit awkward and hard to get (perhaps I was too upset about my bagel that I just had been told not to eat during the movie). I am not a big fan of musicals and that was probably the main reason I was skeptical at first, but after watching it, I realise that it would not have been the same at all without that element. Anyway, it did not take long until I was hooked. Ryan Gosling used to be just a face to me but now he is a character with charisma as well, and I finally realised that he is, indeed, very attractive. I suppose I just needed to know if he had a voice, movements and feelings as well. Yes, he seems perfectly human.

If this film were an Instagram filter it would be called Pink Velvet or something because it was so cosy; I felt like I was floating on pink shimmering clouds throughout. It was really intriguing and I kept getting goosebumps out of excitement. I cannot remember the last time I saw a really good movie like this one. I was touched, a lot of emotions and I Lo Lo Loved it! The wonderful settings, the marvellous jazz tunes, the spot on lyrics, the simple but brilliant plot, the effortless humour, the splendid chemistry between the actors and last but not least, an excellent message, but I do not want to spoil it all. It was a very thought out film and it was made in a certain beautiful way that I am incapable of explaining right here, right now – you will have to (and I think you should) see it to understand.

I have been feeling a bit messed up lately. La La Land did me good because it turned out to be such a feel-good movie; a cheerful theme with a focus on the positive. Although life can be tough at times, it does not get tougher than what you allow it to be. Are you with me? With the right attitude you will get far, and after seeing this film, it feels like nothing is unmanageable anymore. So, I guess the only thing that remains for me to say is: stay positive, follow your dreams and Lo, Lo, Love.

No reason to stay, is a good reason to go

I rarely see my mother and when I do, it is usually for lunch dates on weekdays (a.k.a. work days), which means that once I get to see her it is only for about an hour which is certainly too little time. On these occasions, I either talk too fast to manage to utter everything she has missed before we must part ways, or, I have nothing to say because I do not know where to start.

I love spending time with my mum, Anna. She is smart, encouraging and we laugh at the very same things. We are very much alike. Right now, she is on a business trip somewhere in Europe and after touchdown Sweden, she will travel to Switzerland the very next day for a vacay. She is a busy woman for sure and her time is precious.

“Mamma Anna” is definitely one of my best friends. Thus, it is important for me to meet with her regularly. However, I definitely need to make new friends this year; it is a fact acknowledged that I cannot hang out with my mother as much as I wish, but mainly since one of my best friends, Claudia, is leaving for Barcelona indefinitely in just a few days now!

Just like Claudia, I also feel that I am done with Sweden for a while, and since I am not bound to stay (boyfriend, kids…), I am thinking of a getaway. I am pretty certain it is a Londonbound thought. I will just have to sort some things out before I make a move. Imagine my state of mind if I were to live in my favourite city and date my favourite kind of men – the British ones. What am I waiting for?
